Black vtr thats not charging...
I hope i have posted these properly,my bike has had a new spray job in jaguar black with black fireblade wheels & forks.I cut & twisted the cans,fitted a single seat unit(nightmare!).A fireblade seat recovered fits snug,then a blade swingarm grafted onto my swingarm.Problem now is that i have burntout two rectifiers & its not charging,also fitted a new battery & still not starting.It starts on a jump but that it, i think its the generator.I have fitted LED indicators & rear light,the indicators come with a regulator that is supposed to slow the rate but sadly they have not?.The rear light seems to stay on constantly,i have removed the front side light? any help would be grateful...[img]][/img]]

images fixed for ya
Is the R/R properly earthed on the new subframe or where you relocated it?
What R/R are you using?

Yeah i moved it to the area where the lock set was on the subframe,i know they disperse heat through the metal on the underside?..the the first was a standard one the second was from a blade...
Re: Black vtr thats not charging...
///the first was a standard one
Unfinned or finned? early Unfinned OEM R/R are known to be weak
///second was from a blade
Are they rated/type suitable to work with the VTR?
///i know they disperse heat through the metal on the underside?
That's right - but how was the earth connection. If the R/R was blowing it generally could take the battery out each time - Did you replace the battery and R/R together last time?
You might want to study this Replacement Regulator/Rectifier Mod http://vtr1000f.wickidnet.com/
