Hi there got a we problem today took my firestorm out for a test run after fitting bazza mcct Bike was first class on the way back hit a bit of a bump in a dip and the rear suspension arm broke straight in two [nearly sh-t myself] as i was fairly travelling .Took bike back to workshop and started stripping it down ,rear hugger damaged ,undertray scratched to feck managed to loosen two linkage plate bolts disconnected shock and arm but the last one with the hex head is solid as is the bearing hence the arm breaking.Whats the crack with removing it as tried turning it but it wont budge thanks

Sounds like you have been lucky not to fall off and do some serious damage there matey.

It will just take brute force. I would probably just get a new linkage from ebay if I were you. Plenty available from broken bikes.

...and everyone else, get the big hammer out and that pot of Molly grease, because your's will either be seized or be overdue a seeing too. :cry:

You can probably get a two-arm puller on the threaded end of the bolt, once the nut's off.
Instead of pulling, it'll force the bolt through.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Ok tony mate what do you mean i thought them pullers only pulled .But yes i can get the nut of but flip me its solid i tried whacking it a couple of times with mash hammer but dont want to wreck the swing arm

If you put the puller arms behind the broken-off part of the linage, you should be able to get the puller bolt onto the end of the bolt you're trying to force out.
Then, as you do it up, it will push the bolt through the linkage.

It'll try to slip off, so you might consider using a tube or socket to hold it in line.
Once it's moved a bit, and broken the joint, go back to big hammer.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yeah tried for hours it wont budge so got fed up and got a second hand swingarm of ebay with bottom link attached for £35 and is in cracking condition .fitted it and it looks great not only that the suspension works alot better not have as stiff
