Reformatting by mistake?

Erm, not sure if I've done the right thing.

I have a Sony Walkman, 8gb. Fantastic piece of kit. however, it was originally supplied with a proprietary bit of software (SonicStage) that you had to use to access it etc. It also defaulted to ATRAC file type - .OMA. Since changing PC it has had problems connecting and the sony software didn't work.

Later NW808 models I believe were made to work with media player etc. So, frustrated, i decided to reformat the thing and install drivers downloaded.

Will that work?
