anybody give me any help. im useless with chain numbers, dunno what the hell they mean so i need a bit of info.
i obviously need a new chain, (only got 24000 out of my old one, no scottoiler or whatever, just lots of oiling etc.... )
anyway, i have a brand new did530vm, 110 link , for a suzuki rf900. ive checked the numbers on a proper chain for my storm, apart from a few less links all the numbers are the same.would this fit, after removing the excess links?the storm ive been told only has 102 links, or is the chain pitch different?
any help would be brill.cheers..............
drivechain info please
Re: drivechain info please
102 links is correct on standard sprockets. Remember adjust to allow 30-40 mm (1.2-1.6 in) chain slack.
Edit: the difference is that storm is recommended to have a ZVM Heavier duty chain rather than a VM
SPECIFIED LINKS: 102 links
REPLACEMENT CHAIN: DID 50ZVM
