hi all looking to tweak my bike a bit but nothing to spoil its original look thats the reason i bought it someone talked about drilling holes in end of exhaust but cant find the thread any other suggestions im no mechanic but can handle a spanner and drill etc

its called a bafflectomy........ you need a drill with a long bit.......a few of the lads have done this and i'm sure one of them will give you the heads up mate

It's a good mod and you can go all the way from drilling a few holes to removing the whole plate and inner tube.

Don't know where you are based but if you are close to west midlands, I have a pair that I have used for the last few years that are already done to the full plate removal.

Allows you to keep your stock ones standard for when you sell, mine are spotless but surplus to requirement, so happy to take £50 if you collect them.

Oh and they sound great. Not too loud, but very sporty :D

If you do it yourself, I think you want 5 holes. Mark out from the top evenly spaced. Mark with a centre punch and start drilling with a small drill about 4mm. Providing your marks are in the centre of the ring you can open them out gradually to 12mm.Best of luck.

chhers for that lads having the bike serviced on monday lad that works for a large chain up here MandS is going to do it after work so may drill exhausts onsunday before he comes dont want to take whole thing out just want a little bit better sound :twisted:

I've been down to my M&S and they don't do bike servicing!

Well I certainly gave them a piece of my mind
