Re: Aluminium velocity stacks
they've valued them at £90 a set.muppet wrote: £8.00 handling,£17.31 import duty and £77.13 for fu***ng VAT,
90x4=360
+8+17=385
20% of 385= £77
what does it say on the invoice?? did he not mark the price down?
did they not come in as 'second hand bike spares' ???????
doesn't sound like he's done you any favours.......
When subjected to an electrical voltage of at least 50 volts, a cat's tail always points toward the north.
Re: Aluminium velocity stacks
The amounts are correct but when i have had stuff from the states before the seller has normaly helped out with what value they put on the lable, thus avoiding the vat. so for us the cost of the stacks ended up at £115 each set total door to door. he could of helped by playing the game that would of been £95 each then, so like i said sorry to bsm,stormingjo and amcq46 all i can say is lesson learnt.

Re: Aluminium velocity stacks
All fitted now, done stacks first, don't think any extra ummph but a lot smoother coming back on the throttle, then fitted the flywheel, bit wet today so couldn't use full throttle to test, feels a little less vibey and a little quicker picking up under 4,000 rpm, need a good dry day to test fully, next step is to dyno.
