Buggered so all the bike will be SORN'ed

Post by Styler4077 »

Fell out of the loft a week ago Thursday and after three trips to hospital only to find I've broken my elbow
Pissed off about the three trips to find I fell and broke a piece of my ischium (pelvis) that hold the Back tendon and Ligament to the back of the leg.
As my boys have said "dad's broken his elbow"
So I hope to be a bit more mobile in 10 days to return all three bikes tax disk and sorn the lot of them till next year. Been told that it will take between 5 and 8 weeks to sort it self out and 6 to 12 months for the blood blister to dissolve on my hip.
Biggest problem is sitting down as I can't on my left side and sleeping...... Paracetamol is the max I can take. But beer's     solves the problem as I still have to get up and move after 4 hours sleep so a trip to the loo help :D

Only been off work 8 days and I'm fed up already.

Anyway thanks for letting me get this off my chest and listening.

WARNING do NOT fall on your butt it hurts..............

Sorry to hear that matey and I know what you mean about falling on ya ass. I damaged my coccyx when I flipped the storm over a year ago, and I still feel it now and then.
get well soon

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

That's no help at all :D :D
Bruise's from behind my left knee to to top of my left elbow cheek, so even an air ring as your suggested does not help.
Thanks for all the wishes

one word. OUCH :?
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

unlucky mate!
had a fractured butt meself a few years ago when some clever bugger dismantling a tower scaffold took the wrong piece out & he & it toppled over onto me :whatever
about 8 weeks recovery, maybe 4 of them on crutches depending on the aligment of the fracture.

Poor beggar, GWS The jokes from your mates will get tired long before they do. (I think that makes sense!)

Was a bit worried as to what was going on when I saw the title said "buggered" and the first line talked about a broken elbow. ...was worried that you had been detained at her magesty's pleasure, and you had become your cell mates plaything :eek2

But having read through the whole story I can see that it is a less emotionally damaging problem, but still sounds very painful. Hope the recovery goes well, and glad that drinking beer is working as a treatment

Well back to the surgeon today.
Come back in another six weeks he said, tell the boss light work only if you feel you can stand up all day he added.
So I said to myself light work only Steve.
No flights or bikes till end go march and not before as the bone maybe healing but I have major soft tissue injury.
Felt sorry for myself for an hour or so till I thought about another six weeks out of the office :D :D :D
Said I was lucky as most do far more and far more serious adage.

Oh well could have been worse....
