front tyre choices

Post by racerdave »

I have been offered a brand new donlop D208 sportmax for a silly price
the only hitch i can see is it is a 120/60-17 rather than 120/70-17
will this make a great difference to the handling
at present the bike is fitted with a new 180/55-17 D208 rear
and a 120/70-17 Bridgestone BT54 front
i would like to run matched tyres if poss

might make it turn in a bit quicker but shoudnt upset the handling too much...
should be just like dropping the forks 10mm through the yokes...
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Get a rear to match.
Lovely tyres, best I've had on a Storm so far.

Never tried slick, mind.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
