Re: oil level
bike needs to be as level as possible to get an accurate reading, but saying that, i prefer to set my oil level so i can just see oil in the bottom of the sight glass when its on the sidestand.
this is approx 3/4L overfill, which does absolutely no harm whatsoever, doesnt spew oil out of the breather, doesnt burn oil, doesnt blow seals.
just it spends so much time leaned over lol

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Re: oil level
get a glamourous assistant to look while you sit on it?
3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the worlds population.
Re: oil level
You are all wimps. Holding the throttle & the pillion hanger you can easily pull the bike level off the side in the crounching position & check the level. I weigh 11 stones not a big dude:):)
Re: oil level
You know the square section wooden mallets?
Get a cheap one, with a square handle as well as head.
You can park the sidestand on the handle, and just slide it in a bit at a time until the bike is just about upright.
Because the handle effectively forms a wedge, it works beautifully.
And if you go too far, and the bike falls over, you can hit yourself on the head for a while with the mallet, just to teach yourself a lesson.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
