Weight loss programme

Post by geodude »

I am determined to shed a few pounds this year and I have a target to lose 2 stone by the time we meet in Wales.

I have started an exercise/diet regime called P90-X and its fooking hard. 6 days a week for at least an hour a day and thats for 90 days. I have only missed two days and that was due to an unforseen event. However I am pleased with the results so far. I have lost 8lbs

Here is a short video I made that looks at chin-up technique.

Chin-ups are an important part of the P90-X programme and its vital you have good form.

Enjoy!

Thanks. Good luck to you too.

I hate the gym with a passion. I'd rather do stuff at home which is why this suits me I guess.

Today I have to do Kenpo X and AbRipper X (as i missed it yesterday..tut tut) lol

seems like too much hard work to me....
could you not just like eat a dog turd & give yourself worms?
that would do it
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Chips are out. I don't drink beer. I drink a minimal amount of alcohol.

Nice one Steve. I need to add in the fitness element too and chocolate to me is like eating pringles. Once you pop...etc.

Again, another great idea but the fitness element is somewhat lacking in that programme :)

Weight loss programme

Unfortunately it 90% diet, 10% exercise.

The tape worm would help a lot. Only when effects, other than weight loss, present, drink the appropriate chemicals. (if this were the 1800s)
No bike (yet).

Sunday weigh in this morning revealed a 9lb loss since the 1st Jan 2012.

I'll stick with what I'm doing but if it stops yielding results, I'll try some of the other suggestions. Thanks guys :)

Be carefull there George, thats a lot to be losing in a short space of time, normally the quicker it comes off then the quicker it goes back on !
Spent a few years as a Army fitness instructor, and helped a a lot of fellas who, shall we say, needed some help !!
easy does it, keep it simple, eat stuff your body will burn up quickly and easily.
Most of all keep going, DO NOT GIVE IN.

Thanks. I know this rate of loss is not sustainable. The thing is, I'm not starving myself either (this is where I have gone wrong in the past). In fact I'm eating more. But I am eating the right stuff, 5 times a day and make sure I drink loads of water.

I'm trying my best to follow these 5 steps (there are 6 but one is about popping multivitamins. I might do this if I do the next 90 day programme which is more extreme)

1 CONTROL your portions. Don’t eat until you are full, eat until you’re not hungry. I struggle with this one
2 QUESTION everything you eat. Fresh vegetables, skinless white meat, smaller portions, and foods lower in fat are the obvious answers
3 CONSISTENT 5x-a-day eating schedule.
4 NOURISH & CLEANSE your body by drinking water.
5 REFRAIN from eating at the wrong times. When you workout, and when you sleep, you want your body to be in a “fat burning state” vs. a “carb burning state.”

Still early days
