Hi
I have found out from experience ,when stripping your carbs .
Is to replace the crosshead screws that hold top on over diaphram.
And the screws that hold the float bowl on ,they are made of soft crappy steel
Use stainless allen bolts ,a local fastings company should be able to match them up.
I know you can get replacement bolts for yamaha carbs from ebay.
bur probably cost less from a local firm.
Dont overtighten jets /emulsion tubes ,get a feel of how tight they are when you loosen them.
Good luck n steady away
