Exhaust hanger strap help

Post by seb421 »

b8stard!

well the Scorpions are just so loud im constantly worried about the police with them, and with baffles in they are very quiet but run like sh1t, they are some sort of after market bag of sh1t baffles, that have been cut and bent so are even more restrictive

so went to put the old Blueflames on and found that the can diameter is larger, bugger, dont have the old hangers either any more

looked on website no info, and i dont have a flexy tape measure, does any one have blue flames and can tell me the can diameter of the oval can so i can get some hanger straps to fit round the can,

Cheers guys

Wrap a bit of string around em and, mark it and measure it against a straight ruler.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

If you don't have any string in stock, you could sellotape strips of paper together.

If you're out of sellotape, I may have a part-used roll in my spares stock shed somewhere- I could have a look at the weekend.

But unless I can find it, I won't be able to send it to you, as I can't seal the package....

is it worth getting some new baffles that dont screw up the performance?

my Viper cans have removable baffles, and they make a good reduction in noise and dont hurt the performance too badly............although it is hard to be objective, because louder feels faster even when it is not!

these are whats in mine http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... -db-killer

Yep, genuine scorpion.

I suppose its personal opinion as to what is 'loud'. All I can say is that I have heard much louder.

I would have said the same thing about mine, but I suppose it all depends on what time of the day you're talking about  Some might think different in the early hours of the morning :problem:

I have these ones >>>> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DB-KILLER-BAF ... 2318144489

Seem to be pretty good at killing the noise but not killing the power. But they are £10 each.

EDIT I believe they are from pjengineering

If you woke me up at that time, I would bounce your head off your bike, no joke.

I'm surprised the guy across from my garage hasn't done the same to me as i arrive at 3am
