wheel polishing

Post by freakdazzer »

Hi everyone just a quick question.Thinking of getting my rims polished on my red 1997 vtr as the paint job on the outer rim is gettin a bit scabby. Are the wheels alluminium or steel?.Is there many pictures out there of what the finished product looks like?.And what do you guys think.Might get the engine casing in areas polished as well?.All replys good and negative appreciated.

just in the process of doing mine, very straight forward and doesn't cost too much to buy a small polishing kit and bits......

oh and just to add, i haven't used the wire wheel to get the paint off, used medium steel wool and 240 wet and dry followed by 600 then hit it with the polishing kit.
