Paddock Stand Bobbins

Post by bluestoesonnose »

Does anyone make any retrofit paddock stand bobbins? Just wondering before I get the swinging arm modified to take them.

Yeah, I'm going to get something similar made, only and hours work and it'll be easier to use the paddock stand with.

Some of us including me had drilled and tapped the swingarm to take paddock stand bobbins. Have a look at this link, my post (3rd post down) gives dimensions:-

Ebay can supply the bobbins for either fitment, IIRC mine were 8mm fine thread.
It's your choice really which you go for.

You can also fit front ones, drill and tap the short bolt in the rh side, and make a compression fitting from a universal bar end weight rubber for the lh side, in the hollow spindle end.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Chris.
I used these dimensions used 8mm rivinuts (you use a pop rivet type of gun) . The gun is about £12 and a bag of rivinuts £2or 3. eBay.
