What a jolly nice bunch of people you all are!!
To be honest after reading through the fitting guide, and combined with what little experience I have, I think it will be fine.
Fingers crossed anyway !!
While I'm here, anyone got any reason why I shouldn't use a silicone type gasket/sealer, instead of getting new oe ones. I've used it before on CB1300 stator cover, and was absolutely fine. Not penny pinching either, as they are only £2 each, tube of instant is more expensive, it's just that its off the shelf in halfords and easy.
Ta !!

+1, it's fine, and saves trying to clean old gasket off without the bits dropping into the engine.
Anyway, you need gasket goo to seal the thread on manuals, so while the tube's in your hand, do the whole job.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

if its chucking it down i believe it will be moved to the following weekend mate, i have sorted out any wet gear so i'd not be going if its pissing down, we might laugh at it turning up on a truck, but the lads would have it up and running in no time at all, thats the best bit about the forum, lots of piss taking and lots of help and advice...

I already took the liberty of printing your very detailed and easy to understand instructions mate.
Lee

Just take your time and double check the important bits.
I hope all goes well.
Chris.
Re: CCT's
Cheers Chris,
Manuals arrived today, really well made, quality items.
While I'm at it, she's getting new plugs, oil, filters ( air & oil ) and hopefully a carb balance.
12 years old and only 8000 miles( not me, the bike ). Bloody thing just needs to be ridden, roll on the good weather !!

Re: CCT's
Fitted new manual CCT's today, using Sirch's installation guide and all good, so cheers for that.
I did however cause myself a lot of swearing by putting the vacuum hose back in the wrong place, and it sounds like I'm not the first.
Just need to get anotrher reg/rec now then its all done !!

Newer type Honda ones fit straight on even from a CBR125 I believe, or go the R6/R1, much bigger heat sink but you have to cut the plug off the loom. There is a sticky in the workshop section on that as well.
