Jetting

Post by Bearcat »

Hi all,

Got some bits to do this winter and was thinking of inproving the fuelling.

I've got a pair of scorpians (which I run without the baffle except for the MOT) and an aftermarket k&n type filter - can't remmember the make off-hand.

Which jets should I change and what for? I've heard pro's and con's of dynjetting and heard the alternative is to fit different size standard Honda jets.

What is best etc?

many thanks.

You can spend many a happy hour playing around with jetting- there's guide linked on here somewhere as to how to set carbs up.

Here you are:

Or you can just do the sensible thing and get it on a dyno, where the helpful tech will do all the work for you, probably right first time and with power graphs to show you exactly what effect it has made.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks for the advice. There's a dyno place local that comes with excellent recommedations. I've never been to one before and didn't realise they would do the jetting stuff for me. I'll get the new tyre, MOT and book a session.
