Does anyone know what the air cut off valves do ? What circuit are they on?

I shall answer my own question in case any one else wants to Know .When you shut the throttle a high vacuum is created in the inlet.This is used to operate a valve that shuts off the air to the pilot jet circuit causing a richer mixture to prevent banging and popping on the over run.

It doesn't just stop noise it also stops the exhaust valves from burning.
