You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

reminds me of watching a grasstrack race a couple of years ago, 65 year old bloke came out of the bend and all of a sudden stopped, the next thing i saw was his back wheel chasing the rest of the bikes down the straight :D   some how the spindle mounts snapped and let go of his back wheel lol

Seems it's happened before to a few other BMWF650 GSs but according to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) there isn't a problem...

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/defects/index.cfm Enter case no. PE09026
CURRENTLY, THERE IS NO DATA CONCLUSIVELY ESTABLISHING THAT THE SUBJECT FORK LUGS ARE SEPARATING BEFORE AN ALLEGED CRASH OCCURS. ADDITIONALLY, THE INFREQUENT, SPORADIC, AND RANDOM NATURE OF THE FAILURES FAILS TO ESTABLISH A DEFECT TREND CURRENTLY EXISTS. A SAFETY-RELATED DEFECT HAS NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED AT THIS TIME AND FURTHER USE OF AGENCY RESOURCES DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE WARRANTED. ACCORDINGLY, THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED. THE CLOSING OF THIS INVESTIGATION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A FINDING BY NHTSA THAT A SAFETY-RELATED DEFECT DOES NOT EXIST. THE AGENCY WILL TAKE FURTHER ACTION IF WARRANTED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
INFREQUENT, SPORADIC, AND RANDOM NATURE OF THE FAILURES
I wonder if the US folk reported Superhawk CCT failure to the NHTSA and if so what result they got.

I am certain there are some ambulance-chasing lawyers in the US rubbing their hands in glee.....

mhhh riders randomly fall off in the middle of a straight road without hitting anything and the forks fall apart on impact.
that would explain it then :/

you would think being a bmw (!) and being an off road / dual purpose bike the forks and other structural parts would be stronger and better quality than lesser bikes....

Having come to a Honda from being a bmw owner I can say that bmw's build quality of late is utter rubbish. I had no end of recalls/breakdowns and warranty work ranging from basic battery faults to immobiliser cut outs, peeling paint and wheel bearing failure!
Whilst some of these issues were minor and easily sorted it was bmw's attitude that made me ditch them and vow never to buy another in future.
" hello mr bmw helpdesk i've got another breakdown 2 weeks after the warranty has ended, yes thats right the same thing you've fixed twice before has gone again. Whats that get lost?, Oh thanks"
