Which Reg/Rec
Which Reg/Rec
Am about to buy a replacement RR, but have 2 options. Original Honda, updated version, or Tourmax. I'm a bit of a sucker for original parts, but the tourmax is a bit cheaper. Anyone using an aftermarket, and any issues ??

Re: Which Reg/Rec
Lee, I may well be tempting fate here but my 2003 Storm with the finned RR hasn't given me any problems. I would hope you would be OK with the later one fella. It has the big advantage of being plug & play as well. Good luck.

Most use Yamaha R1, look in the Workshop Knowlege section. If the ones you're talking about are the big alloy finned type they should be OK.

Re: Which Reg/Rec
TBH I never had a problem with the old style one on my previous storm, and I had it 4 years/32000 miles. However, I do know theyre a weak point, as my mates went wonky halfway through Belgium one year and don't fancy it myself.
