Yes but the lid won't close, you'll have to cut it off. I've the 9 b... Whatever and is a big improvement £36 @ Busters

the battery lid just clips off but you wont need to as that battery is smaller than std.
you can get a much bigger battery in than that lol!
the ytx12 is only a 10ah battery so tbh your starting will be worse.... why fit a smaller battery?
a 14ah YTX16-BS will fit with the battery cover removed.
if youre going to go for the 14ah you might as well get the 18ah (ytx20ch-bs) as it's the same size as the 14.
*be sure to quote the CH if you order one as the ytx20bs is 187mm tall & wont fit.

Just bought a YTX16-BS, but was surprised as to how much heavier it is.... 
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
