Seat latch mechanism

Evening all,

Does anyone have a photo or diagram of the seat latch mechanism? My seat popped off today whilst riding, and it seems that my latch has rattled loose and disappeared!

I found the pictured part under the seat, but everything else must have fallen out. It looks like I'm missing some sort of bracket, which if I've got the part number right is £27.26 from David Silvers; more than I'd like to pay for a little piece of steel! So if anyone has a decent photo of the mechanism then I can see if it's possible to bodge something together, otherwise I might have to pry open my wallet!

Try ebay for a replacement seat lock, far cheaper - as for a pic/diagram try Ron Ayers or Lings as they have microfiche diagrams. And the downloadable PDF manual has a vague pic of the seat lock.

Top advice! I'd been searching on ebay for seat latch and similar things, but hadn't thought to search for seat lock, and when I did I found a seat catch (but no lock, interestingly enough) for a fiver. Boom!

I can take some pics in the morning of where bits & bobs fit together as once I had a problem with the latch getting jammed shut because a retainer had dropped off - it needed a very hot day to ab able to bend the plastic seat base to get access to manually undo it!
