You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

if thats what you need to undo/tighten to sort out the headstock bearing.........cybercarl might be popping round to see if he can tighten/adjust mine this week...
You need a C spanner or hammer and screwdriver (as described by the gentle technician that is Benny of the Hedges). It's the large nut under the top yoke you need to adjust not the nut that holds the top yoke down (or the nut who holds the handlebars!!!). If you have the tool kit for the bike you should have on if not why not E Bay boy!
You can borrow mine if cybercarl doesn't have one.

In fact thinking about it the C spanner I used might be on of my others. I seem to remember the VTR toolkit one not fitting the headstock. But then I am very old and senile!

Looks like hammer and screwdriver it is then and a 30mm spanner I take it it's the same method for BSM's modded front end? I think he's got the 954 set up.
I don't have an original toolkit either. I keep looking on fleabay but they are like gold dust. Funny enough I managed to adjust my rear shock the other day with the c spanner from my Fazer toolkit. Don't think it would fit the headstock though
If Benny say's hammer and screwdriver, then hammer and screwdriver it is. I got a big flat ended screwdriver designed specifiaclly for bashing things in my toolkit. Not one of my Snap On's
