Evening all,
I need to remove two needle roller bearings from a suspension linkage for my FJR.
Trouble is there is a shoulder where the bearings are pressed up against and you cannot get a decent enough edge of the bearing casing to whack them out with a drift.
Any ideas please, I have not destroyed the bearings yet in case someone has any ideas which require them to be intact.
Many thanks
Mike

Re: Removing needle roller bearings
can you not wind them out with some studding and washers???
file the washer to fit perfectly and use ut to draw the bearing.
or you could pick the needles out and use an easy out or tap in the cage.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Cheers for that.
Just did it another way as there are two opposite each other with the shoulder between them.
10m rawlbolt, expand before the bearing so it grips in the narrower section (shoulder diameter).
Put in vice with big socket over the end to create space and to catch the bearing, do up vice, and Bob's your Uncle and fanny's your Aunt.
Chuffed now, and no use of big hammer!

Never mind, next time, eh?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
