I done this a few years ago on the 125. The plan was to head up the coast road all the way to Ballycastle and we ended up terminating the ride at Carnlough due to some numpty riding the other direction beyond his capabilities and slamming into the police escort bike. Police biker suffered a broken leg. Other guy died. 1500 bikes on the way up had to make a U turn.

I was there that day as well, I didn't know what had happened untill I heard the news later that night. Very sad news about the biker that lost his life, there was also another biker lost his life that day around Ballymena.

Todays ride had a very good turn out but the rain started around 3pm and quite a few bikes didn't finish, but it was all for a good cause..

Yeah. Terrible end to a great day that was. I remember joining with a group of bikes heading back to the finish point in the rugby club and I was there for the draw. Hang on lemmie get a few pics: (insert cheesy hold music)
