Anyone fitted a camera detector?

Post by rumbler »

I just bought a Snooper S4Neo gatso detector for the car and was wondering if anyone has successfully fitted this or similar to a bike. Considering the item is not waterproof and needs to be looking at the sky to find its satellites the job doesn't seem straightforward.

Never been snapped before, but if I am its gonna hurt.

Just put everything in the see through map section of a tankbag (some of these detach from the bag and can be used on their own).
This should keep it dry and means you just lift it off and carry it with you so no security problems.
The only problem that I can see is that your head may block line of sight for the satellite receiver due to the riding position on the 'Storm'.

Thanks Haydn, my tank bag leaks, especially the transparent pocket on the top, then I would have to leave the pocket zip open for the earpiece wire. Would work OK in the dry, and this is the highest risk of being snapped.

Kaz, remote detector would be good. What's already under my seat?

standard toolkit
puncture repair outfit
cable ties
alarm
scottoiler
string (you never know when you'll need it)
foot for sidestand
cloth
U lock
tyre pressure gauge

Wife packed it all using skills developed in a lifetime of handbagging.

Kaz,

Thanks for this, it looks just the ticket. When I fit it I'll post a note to let the forum know how effective it is, never seen or heard of anything like the Flash.
