my faith was restored today in uk biking. the sun came out and i had a sparkling 50 mile blast. dual carriageway and some fast b roads some with very tight hairpins.
before i went i popped to the garage and checked my tyre pressures. lazy git me had probably not checked them for 18 months . whilst neither tyre seemed low and it was handling ok before both were significantly low. i wont embarrass myself by saying how low but it was in need of doing. cant say i noticed much difference in handling but did seem a little stiffer all round.

Re: sunshine and tyre pressures
tyres on the sp1 on the last good ride before it went... the rear was at 18psi and the front was 21
to be fair, it handled superbly and i wasnt babying it... but the rear was fkt by the time i got home!
on the road you really wont notice a big difference in tyre pressure with ambient heat & friction off the road....
you will on the track though lol!
if youre not sure what pressures to run on a track day just ask around the more experienced track dayers or ask on tdr
had a good ride on my new one before - first warm dry ride since i got it and i must say its fkin brilliant
it's on new dunlop sportsmax atm and i must say they are very very good indeed!
different profile then im used to having run racetecs/ supercorsa/ power ones for a while... very confidence inspiring tyres.

i dont ride fast m8, i just like making progress and enjoying the bends.
dont see the point riding flat out everywhere and crappin meself when i come to a turn lol.
it's more fun just keeping it smooth at a respectable pace and enjoying the road
theres not many places on a 1000cc bike where you can you ride it mad and keep your licence
