Brake line question
Thinking of new lines as mine are the originals, however, one thing confuses me.
The brakes have a one into two line via some form of junction - as shown on the Ron Ayers parts things
http://tinyurl.com/cftaemw
However, Wezmoto state they supply two lines?
"The kit comprises of: 2 Lines for the front of the bike which both travel from the master cylinder direct to the left and right front callipers and all the required replacement bolts and washers. Full fitting instructions are also in the packet.
Wezmoto performance brakelines are made from a stainless steel braided hose with a Teflon inner hose which is coated with protective plastic sleeve which helps protect your paintwork from scratches and enhances the look of your bike. All our fittings are full Stainless Steel, not Zinc Plated."
From the above I guess the junction thing is lost and they fit the two lines to the master cylinder? Or do they fit from the junction down, in which case you'll lose efficiency on the line down to the junction. Or am I missing something obvious???

Re: Brake line question
A two line set up is a typical race set up, i use this type, two lines from the master goes one to each front calliper instead of the usual over the fender 3rd line, you don't need it
lot neater a 2 line race type set up too

Re: Brake line question
As sebs says.
If ur confused they use a double length banjo bolt at the master cylinder connection which allows you to connect two seperate lines to it.

Re: Brake line question
got it - cheers
off to order now in time for the workshop day

Re: Brake line question
I shall be doing the exact same thing workshop day. I may get a SS clutch line done while I'm at it and possibly new pads all round.

You'll need a fair size (500ml) for each fluid then; suggest you bring a 1litre size.cybercarl wrote:I shall be doing the exact same thing workshop day. I may get a SS clutch line done while I'm at it and possibly new pads all round.![]()

The clutch can take ages ( and lots of fluid) to bleed.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Brake line question
Would it help if I bring my vacume gun thing to draw the fluid through?

Re: Brake line question
Cheers Tony will do, what brand fluid do you recommend? Thanks Kev that may be worth considering but I'm pretty sure Jonesey will have a bleeding device with him. We can sort out who's doing/bringing what nearer the time.

I was going to polish Marty's bike with it, as I don't have a pineapple to hand.lloydiecbr wrote:and a empty coke bottle for the old fluidtony.mon wrote:You'll need a fair size (500ml) for each fluid then; suggest you bring a 1litre size.cybercarl wrote:I shall be doing the exact same thing workshop day. I still haven't forgiven that wind-up.

Re: Brake line question
here's a thought
These lines come from Exeter, where Hel are. And the small rubber bits over the lines have what written on them? "Hel"
hmmmm

Re: Brake line question
That's weird, mine don't. Are you sure they are not Hel lines. If you got Hel lines for the price of Wezmoto then you have got a bargain.

I was thinking of exterminating some of Macs weeds.I was going to polish Marty's bike with it, as I don't have a pineapple to hand.
