Is there a diagram on here or any where for getting the fly wheel turned down and lightened?

yes mate i posted up the spec i used which is the bare butt minimum you can turn to for the road, keeping the timing marks and all the magnets.
theres also roger ditchfields mod which cuts into the magnets.... not recommended for the road tbh (imo)
and the dimensions didnt tally up with 2 std flywheels!

have a search & you'll find the pics with the dimensions.
it takes over 2lb off the weight and makes a noticeable difference!

youll also need a m22.1.5 bolt to crack the flywheel off.

dont forget to tell your machinist to leave a 3mm lip untouched around the top to keep the timing marks.

cheers guys, just what I wanted.
just got to get a spare fly wheel and give it to my mates old man, retired machinist and he's bored, he keeps building 5 inch steam locomotives, think I'l give his something else to do lol

did you say spare flywheel, i have just the one for you sir, at a bargain knock down price, i haven't seen one cheaper. Â£30 delivered.....suits you sir.

i had tony put a lightened flywheel on my bike and i can honestly say it spins up that much quicker than standard, nice and revvy.

I'm taking my spare to the shop to have it lightened to minimum .
I have a lightened flywheel fitted now I just took it down to 125mm so I want to go lighter

I had a long discussion with friend doing lightening per rogerÂ´s picture (which is little bit confusing for people with technical education), and I donÂ´t think it includes magnet cutting. Just steel rotor where is new diameter 146 mm, and thickness 10.15 mm. Cutting magnet is info from Roger?

Update on flywheel info as Mr Ditchfield replied my question super quick.

- lightening only on steel rotor, not on magnet
- balancing is not needed if you follow RogerÂ´s dimensions
- anyway flywheel is dynamically balanced separately from crankshaft in Honda factory
