What parts exactly would be needed to make these fit? Could I use the original yokes or front wheel?
Trying to price up doing the job
929 forks
Re: 929 forks
You will need the yokes (triple trees) as the forks are 51mm and wheel, discs etc But the head bearings are the same on VTR & 929/954.

no and no, you will need 929/954 top and bottom yokes and front wheel/spindle and discs and mudguard. you can use your storm calipers and switch gear tho.
the other problem me and kev (although not for seb) found was that you will need to buy some 3.5 inch 50mm bar risers because the blade forks are shorter and the clip-ons attach under the top yoke.
ask kev l for the name of the company in the usa that he bought his from, i myself might be buying a set in the near future because mine aren't that good....
its not a cheap conversion but it does transform the old girls handling in a big way.
i was lucky and bought my bits seperately over several months.
heres what mine cost me
yokes £80
forks £85
wheel £150....954 wheel is lighter but more expensive, although i did buy a spare 929 wheel for £50, but i just sold that for £100.
mudguards go for £30/35
discs £90
bar risers range from £120 to £200 depending on company/product.
you should also factor in the price of servicing the forks, at least fresh oil, because you don't know what life they have had...
i hope this has been helpful to you

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: 929 forks
And those are cheap for those forks even with that little bit of work.

Re: 929 forks
Thank you very much for the information there. You were very thorough there BSM
Has given me something to think about. I have offered that guy £100. TBH if he refuses I'll still get them and put them to one side and gradually collect the other bits over time as you did.
Thanks

Re: 929 forks
929 and 954 bars are different, 929's don't work but 954's do matebigspanishmarty wrote:he's been trying to sell these for a few weeks now, try making him an offer, i've bought from him in the past and he's a decent guy.Steve6088 wrote:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330726149461? ... 3514wt_932
