There's something rather perverse about having a car which does better MPG than my bike! lmao!

I'm quite looking forward to this fill-up actually... This will be the first tank full of fresh juice in 5 years, and so far it hasn't been lacking power with the old stuff! What's gonna happen with the new stuff might be a little frightening! :biggrin

I am most impressed, the Carbon is more solid than the Stainless steel. :confused They fit absolutely perfect, I used the bobbins as spacers which also serve as bungee hooks. The cans sit a lot more aligned and are more solid than before. :D

Before anyone asks, hangers are from Canada. Thanks Mik.

Then for a laugh I got my Decibel meter out to see how loud the cans are. I had it directed at a diagonal angle to the rear of bike and exhaust. Placed it about 2 meter's away and gave the bike a slight rev. I didn't go mad and just gave it a gentle flick at idle. It measured 107.3db I shall have to get into some open space somewhere and get a proper reading with a proper handful of throttle.

Have fun.

Oh gawd... Mental note, don't ride behind Carl!

I've been zooming about the last couple of days with standard cans, and I thought that rumbled and grumbled rather nicely (especially off throttle). Actually, come to think of it, I do have another set of standards... I wonder if I can rip out the baffles via the tail pipe? Slide hammer maybe?

The carbon looks great... I can't see the missus approving though. Why did I have to mention the pillion seat existed under the bump... Damn.

Oh, one thing Carl...

Lube that chain! It looks like something they brought up from the Titanic :p

Thanks guys. They are a one off, lying around in his garage I think. I might just have to hunt down some Carbon straps now.

And yes I must lube my chain. Due for new chain and sprockets soon anyway, gives me a chance to change the gearing. :D

Now what else can we scrutinise when he's showing off new pretty bits...? Tyre looks okay... Brake fluid, nah clean and plenty in the pot... Damn.

Come on Carl, give us something else to poke holes in! :biggrin

For anyone looking to possibly get a set of these hangers, try Motorrad Diegler. Not sure if they have any others, however,.....

Yes.
It'll stretch a bit.
But to blank off the end, just fold it over and cable tie.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
