should it/will it be balanced when the guys swap the tyre??

cheers.
Yes, dynamically balanced, not statically balanced. Insist on that, it makes a difference.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

ok ? .... its now at the bikeshop. to have it balanced as you recommend the wheel needs to be in the bike?. i removed the wheel and took just that + the new tyre to save the labour charge they wanted for taking it in and out/ chain adjustment etc.

this evening i was bored, so i decided to strip the old black paint from a spare headlight bracket i bought from jazza
i think the one on my bike is slightly damaged because the n/s front fairing doesn't join so well to the headlight surround.
once i got all the tatty old paint off using a dremel and lots of patients
i found some of the blue brake caliper paint in the shed and set about spraying and laquering the hell out of it, it takes so bloody long for this type of paint to dry :x
still i got it finished and heres some pics of my handy work.....

Actually yesterday, not today.

I washed it - well to be precise I rode through rain that felt like a jet wash!

Waterproof gloves but I had then over my jacket sleeves (jacket inner is waterproof not the outer) I was totally dry but the rain was that bad it soaked through my jacket sleves and filled my gloves from the inside!! That has never happened before 8O

Well i was very wet mate, had to work in boxers that was dripping wet, i went for a piss thought wombles it took them off rung them off and put them back on, no i hadn't pissed my self lol im 27 got a while before i reach for incontinence pants

Falling down in the stream / river across the road i was wombles soaked no matter how water proof your jacket pants and gloves if your on the floor in a stream water will find its way in,

dont know what was washing across the road but the bike is bloody black down one side with all this gunky stuff you can smear with your fingers and grass that was washing across too lol

going to give it a wash tommorw if the weather holds off, don't think there is any scratches etc but worse case scenario i just contact the seller i used order one side faring from china

Bits N Bobs done over the weekend. Finally painted me forks black to compliment the wheels & me new callipers c/o Jonesy, fitted at GrainStorm.
Also replaced me standard cheesy inspection caps with pair donated by Tony. Almost time for another Spot the Difference Comp....

Are you going for a "The United Colours of Benetton" look there Mac? Or are you really a closet black fetishist?

Not really multi coloured is it Kev? I spose if I added a yellow, silver & orange panels you could comment as such but not yet. Draw the line at Teal though.
Unfortunately I've had to add a bit more blue to it, it's only a small bit & a very dark blue & you can't see it in this pic, thank gawd.....

It inherits all the disadvantages of both colours with none of the advantages, if indeed there are any advantages to looking like a post box or a lump of coal!

I think Mac's bike is going through mid life crisis  The front panel around the headlight would look good in Black. Then all you need is some go faster stripes on the side fairings and furry dice for the screen.
