Yeh it defo sounds like it's just got waterlogged. Chin up mate stay positive, it will all be allright once it's dried out. You are doing what needs to be done, it's just a laborious process disconnecting and connecting things back up bit by bit.

Your bike got drunk on floodwater. it needs some medication

wombles backs killing me been bent over for a good 4+ hours now, on doing the front found that the connector from the clutch cover that connects at the bottom of the left rad was badly fully of water took ages to get all that blasted out, behind fairing all is well, no water has got in that area but did all connectors just to be sure

front plug was soaked and inside the coil too, think i blasted it to hard with the hose when trying get all that sh1t off the bike that was on it, so disconnected all that and dried the stick oil and its connector just gotta try get the recess where the spark plug is dry now

Must get another fender extender too to stop any water spraying up there in future when on the road

just about to have a look inside the switch gear housing now

Fingers crossed when its back together it wombles works!

gotta get a shower and get work soon dont think i will take the storm tho if it does run, leave it in garage with radiator on for a few days i think.

there should be a drain hole to stop the plug recess filling with water, sounds like it needs unbolcking. I think it comes out just below the exhaust port, should be able to stick bit of wire up it and clear it out

Woh, hold up. Remember what Benny said!

You might want to refer to the workshop manual first. It might have fiddly little springs in or something inside. Could be a foocker to get back together.

Thanks chaps will have a look at that drain hole, never knew about that.

Had that apart a few times in past when trying to mate it to different switch gear, not got it in bits just opened up so I can blast hot air in, this too is soaked inside not surprising as it was submerged.

Disconected switch gear behind screen as tony suggested too soon to put tank on and fire it up, fingers crossed

Cant be arsed with work now, Urgh

These guys with the advice are more experienced than me but the last time i heard of a problem after a puddle incident was because water was in the belly pan and blocked the vacuum pipe that hangs down which connects to the carb.

Good luck with it, I'm sure it'll be fine when it's started back up.
No bike (yet).

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
