I think it because the beam is wider spread and not focused .
Mine did blind all that came before it :-)
At least they saw me before they closed their eyes :-)

You sure it was the headlight that made them look away? not the combination of your boatrace and the bike??? :lol: :lol:

I can't be sure as its a black bike and I was going to fast to look .
We have that problem on black ones lol
