Gauge on storm, Oil, Coolant, Volt will this work?

Thinking of wiring these 3 gauges up, will that oil Temp one work? it's supposed to fit between the oil filter and the block, can also plug a pressure sensor into it.

Gauges are nice and small and the 3 side by side are just over 11cm (111mm)

Do what I did with my satria gti, drill and tap the sump plug for the oil temp, and replaced the oil pressure switch with an oil sender unit to fit the thread in the engine.

They do have a special thing for drilling into the sump but i really didnt want to be doing that if im honest, this looked like an easy option for an oil temp gauge set up


On a test ride after jetting the other day my bike had overheated to the point where it smelt super hot, it's hard to describe,
the exhaust and engine has never been so hot, but the coolant was still okay and reading 1/3rd on the dial so going down the road the bike looked to me like it was not overheating, until i got off, that's why i want to fit an oil temp gauge and another coolant temp one aslo

Did you feel all the rad pipes to all fads and pipes coming from the thermostat, your stat might mot be opening fully.

all appears to b working as should with the thermostat

Sounds like it's running too lean.
Check plug colours to see what they tell you. The chart in any Haynes manual is a good guide, if you're not sure what to look for re plugs.

I know for a fact its running lean but wasn't aware of how bad it was till I stopped and got off, been upto other things today but plan to attack the carbs again tomorrow and adjust the needle position, but wanted an oil gauge for future warning etc as im planning some airbox mods soon, if i get a 3rd air box im going to try away with the snorkel and attempt some straight as possible pipework with the internals of the box gutted sanded and polished also

Going to use the triangular inlets on the front fairing?
I keep meaning to get round to this, sealing the air channels in the fairing sides and then routing in via the frame gaps where the throttle cables go through on the rh side, and the gap freed up when you remove the front coil after doing the stick coil mod.

You'd then need to create a little sealed are in front of the snorkel position by sealing around the plastic heat shield under the carbs. Shouldn't be too tricky.
