Re: Are these the ones?
Cheers mate, just wanted to check as they are two listings one at 9mm long and ones at 8mm long ;-)
Re: Are these the ones?
Didn't know that there were different lengths available; perhaps someone will measure a standard one for you?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yeah there's two types from the same seller mate, ones at 8mm long and ones at 9mm long.tony.mon wrote:Didn't know that there were different lengths available; perhaps someone will measure a standard one for you?
I since read a post on here with a link, it was the 9mm ones so Iv narrowed it down ;-)

Re: Are these the ones?
I would measure one of mine but I haven't a micrometer with me and to measure with a ruler would be to inaccurate. BTBH I don't understand what a 1mm difference would make if anything. And it that the length of the thread or the thread and the head of the jet. Dynojet heads are taller the Keihin/FP. Just make sure they are designed for the series 21 Keihin carbs.

you can also buy jets from wemoto.slow and mains in most sizes, you search by carburretor make.so you know they are the right ones.

Re: Are these the ones?
Iv just had a look a ordering the main jets.
Going on the principle of putting in 3 sizes above the front (standard 175 and 178) Iv noticed that all the places selling these (and Iv asked them) sell them in increments of 5?? 180, 185, 190, 195 etc
So going on this do I put a size in the front a 5 up in the rear one? Or put equal sizes front and rear?

Re: Are these the ones?
That's weird, that's the sort of rubbish I would expect from dynojet. You can step in 5's if needs be a 180 and a 185. The rear cylinder generally should be a bit larger than the front to help with cooling
You may find by fine tuning things you may have to compensate for it with needle height or shimming each cylinder a little different.

Re: Are these the ones?
Yeh I realised that I just find it strange that the retailers are selling them in .5 increments.

Re: Are these the ones?
I know mate I'm just going to get 180, 185 and 190 and see how they fair first.
When you say have different shims (going to use washers) on the needle, would you lift the needle higher on the rear with it being a bigger jet?
