Hi, Guys !
Hello to you all. I'm new here!
I've just bought a W-reg VTR which I'll collect on Thursday. I've a Deauville at present which I use for work but I wanted a bit more poke for the weekends. I live near Loughborough and at 58 everyone tells me I'm too old for the bigger v-twin!
Always keen to meet up and talk bikes - hoping it stays dry for Thursday as I'll be riding it back from Sleaford.
Take care,
Mr.John

welcome to the team Mr John Coates...........or can we be informal and call you Mr?
anyway, have fun on Thursday and ask as many questions as you want........we will either try and help / take the piss / not reply / Hijack the thread with some drivel about which colour rhymes with Poo. .........it pretty random, but at 58 you will forget by tomorrow and ask the same question again

Hi, Mr.
Doesn't matter if it rains Thursday, these are fun in the wet as well.
And nothing wrong with wanting a better poke at weekends.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Hi, Guys !
Your never too old, as you have found out we have a few of them around here already
Stick around and you can't go wrong, plenty of advice and guidance and members willing to help out. A very sociable bunch we are.
Get yourself a Photobucket account http://photobucket.com/ and you can post some pics. Have a safe ride on Thursday and get to know your bike and enjoy the V Twin torque.

Re: Hi, Guys !
Well, thanks for the very warm welcome.
Now, on the sensitive subject of colour...I used to work for Honda in the vehicle finish area. I worked as a Paint Inspection Services Section artist, advising on colour schemes and technologies. We found that red was a good colour, with nice sized red molecules that offered a reduction in skin friction worth a good few BHP. Black was good, too. Sadly yellow was rubbish...yellow was for slow things like bananas and Bradley Wiggins.
The best colour was blue, far and away the quickest and always purchased by the discerning older gentleman.
So, there you have it. And my bike? Well blue of course
Mr John
You can call me anything you want. Mostly I go by: "Hey, b8stard!"AMCQ46 wrote:welcome to the team Mr John Coates...........or can we be informal and call you Mr?![]()
