Rear end rebuild - easiest way to get parts?

Post by Rob »

As mentioned in another thread I need to strip down the back end this winter.

Is there any easy way to buy a 'kit' of parts to replace bearings/seals etc. for the swingarm and rear suspension linkage?

Might as well strip it all down and change everything and it would be nice to have all the parts required before I do it.

I have a had a look around but no joy. Apart from going to Honda I don't know where to find the info. Workshop manual gives loads of info/diagrams of individual parts but no part numbers!

Use the US Ron Ayers website for Honda part no.s > (be careful as it is for US Superhawk but 95% of the parts are identical inc the bits you're after)

http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID/26 ... l/VTR1000F

Copy/paste them in davidsilvers.co.uk search by part number >
