it will be good to see whats going on with it coz it feel very strong throughout
tank bag packed with tools and jets im not excited much really
cybercarl wrote:That looks very good Scott. So is that with just your tinkering or did the dyno guy do make some adjustments. You should be well pleased with mate. Lovely straight torque curve.

Thanks a lot mate it was just with my tinkering, he didn't touch the bike apart from putting it in the machine.
He's made me feel a bit deflated tbh and tried selling me a dynojet kit saying its 'way out' ??
you dont need a jet kit
maybe drop your needles a little
Ok bud, would you suggest having the needles the same height? I'll get a couple of thinner washers, something in between what Iv got on.
What do you think to the air/fuel graph at the bottom, would dropping the needles slightly sort the richness up?
I would just do the front carb so the rear is slightly richer, or drop them both and use a small shim to richen up the rear a tad. As Hawk has it in his carb set up guide
either way you wont know what works and what dont without putting back on the dyno .
fine adjustment like that you wont feel as in seat of the pants tuning
scott02464 wrote:Cheers guys I'll sort the needles out, apart from the mid range does everything else look ok?
My K&N is in need of a good clean...
you can get the service kit from oil man cheep .
just dont over oil it like i did the other day coz it runs like crap .
re-cleand it and gave it a very light oiling.

Nice1 mate, I ordered a cleaning kit today off the Bay, £9.08 delivered. I'll give it a good clean when it arrives ;-)

I did put mine on the dyno after I'd gutted the airbox internals ages back.
It lost .5bhp over a stock one back-to-back dyno runs with short standard stacks fitted.
But since then I've also modded the snorkel, added a spacer, modified some SP1 intake stacks to fit, etc, etc, and so there will be more to come next time it's measured.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It's strange how something can make it feel like it's an improvement but when dynoed it shows it to be worse. It's like the K&N's, apparently there is more power from an original filter. I wonder if a placebo effect accounts for something.

I might see you there, don't know what time I am setting off, but fancy getting a power run and a fuelling check. Will be borrowing your tools if it's a long way out

sounds good
the only tool i aint got is a mixture tool but the dyno man will have one

spacer/gutted/snokel\stacks
only time will tell roll on saturday
just hope i havent lost to much compression since the last run
