Hey everyone
My name is Daniel Woodhouse and am from New Zealand, I hope you don't mind foreigners on your message board.
Just got a 2002 model, red, scorpion pipes, only 11,000 k's (6800 miles).
Had my first ride on it yesterday, very impressed with it, NOT impressed with the fact that on my maiden voyage I got a nail in the rear tyre!
Had an Aprilia Tuono before this and the VTR is much smoother riding around town, generally more ridable. I have been told that the VTR being carburetted makes the difference.
Anyway nice to meet you all and look forward to reading all the posts.
Cheers
Woody.

Welcome to the mad house Woody-
If you've been reading on here for a while, I can't belive you've said what colour you have--- let the banter begin
search the workshop to make sure all the updates have been done and all will be well..
What made you swap over to the VTR??

Hey Grumpyfrog
Didn't you know the red ones go faster...thats why the paint fire engines red!
I sold the tuono about 8 months ago as I needed some cash at the time. I much prefer a Japanese bike as they seem to be more reliable and far better built.
Tuono was a lot of fun but very might maintenance. I'm assuming the Honda will be better in this regard. I have owned a few of them with little trouble. The last Honda I owned was a 2003 CBR600RR. That was a cool bike! But not that comfortable on long trips. Listen to me...i'm sounding like an old man.
