I like it :-)
It's nice and quite when at cruse but when it's opened up the single can cant cope with the twins thump .
Then it like 20 thunder storms going off in the Alberts hall :-)

Done a few bits and bobs over the last couple of days. Finished assembling the spare carbs with a Factory Pro Ti kit, 48 pilots, 178 & 180 mains, carbon fibre brackets and Ti bolts/washers -

I will get around to fitting them and the K&N filter soon, promise.
In preperation for the necessary adjusting of the carbs I bought a Morgan carbtune 90° screwdriver tool. The standard head needs 32mm of clearance and so won't fit the VTR, so to resolve this I bought a spare head from the good folk at carbtune and filed the housing and the driver down. This adapted head only needs 20mm of clearance and so will fit without to much grief -

The last little job will probably provoke at least one of you saying "you could have bought one of those from ..... for £10!" to which I will respond "Bollox!!!"
I wanted a clear rear light with silvered bulbs which show red when on. Couldn't find anything but LED's anywhere, so I bought the cheapest LED one I could find, £29, and took the lens off of the light unit. Then got hold of a cheap VTR standard light and carefully removed the lens from the bulb holder and backing plate. Then adjusted the thickness of the aftermarket lens to produce a snug fit with the light unit. Quick application of some clear silicone adhesive/sealer and the jobs a goodun. Looks nice on the bike too, but I haven't photographed that as yet -

No mate, Florence has been demanding wardrobes so it's only been quick easy jobs in the evenings. Work get's in the way as well, but there you go.

Couple of Pics of the lamp on the bike -

And evidence of the hazards of flying stones. Glad I had the protector fitted or the light unit would have been totally mullered -

Yeah, the clear lens on the tail light and indicators get's rid of the Nasty Red and Orangeness!!!
I am sure there will always be something left to do on the bike Marty. It never ends really does it?
I haven't put the carbs on the scales yet mate but the brackets on their own saved about ¾lb.
