Returned to the Dark Side

Post by Cruisecontrol »

Hello all.
Just joined for the massive amount of info that appears to be stored here.
My name is Dan from Sydney, Australia and I have been riding roadbikes for about 20 years.

I got my first VTR a few years ago and loved it. Unfortunately it lasted a total of three months in my possession. A car turning in front of me put an end to what was a magnificent motorcycle:

After the VTR I bought a TLS but was never happy with it. I bought a Bandit after that and Streetfightered it and eventually sold it (still regretting it...)

I saw this beauty and couldn't resist so I am back on a beautiful VTR.

I found out about the CCT issues when the bike went bang but thankfully still in the hands of the dealer so they fixed it before I picked it up. Kreiger tensioners are already on order and I look forward to chatting with some likeminded individuals

Thanks for the welcome :D

I definitely intend to look after this one!
I can gladly say I managed to produce a healthy baby boy after the accident!

I have been having a few issues with starting the bike on cooler mornings. I dare say the battery isn't up to the task of getting those slugs firing. Is there a specific battery I should be looking for to stop me having to use jumper leads off the car to get it going?
