No :-)

It would have to rupture for all the fuel to ignite in one go.

Iv just thought, this all didn't happen in your front living room did it lol

Low level carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms may include any combination of the following:

Headaches
Flu like symptoms

Food poisoning like symptoms

Unexplained nausea

Chronic fatigue like symptoms

Feeling of physical weakness

Brain fog

Problems focusing

Disturbed sleep patterns

Irritability/mood swings

Impaired judgement

Unexplained feelings of claustrophobia

Difficult or shallow breathing

Unexplained panic or anxiety

Feeling chronically stressed and/or difficulties dealing with stress

High pitch sound in ear(s)

A more unusual carbon monoxide poisoning symptom is an unexplained sense of a presence or something is watching. Many ghost houses have been found to have carbon monoxide leaks - usually from cracks/partial blockages in old chimneys and faulty boilers.

Sensitivities to sugar and simple carbohydrates

Food and chemical sensitivities

Changes to hearing, vision, smell, taste, and/or touch

Hair loss / thinning

Subtle and not-so-subtle personality changes

Bizarre behavior(s)

Flu like symptoms but not typically with sinus congestion

Problems regulating temperature of hands and/or feet

Pregnant women have a higher likelihood of miscarriage

Potential developmental problems with children

its not the fuel that will ignite its the vapours, with in theory if you could take the vapours away you could potentially put a lit match out in petrol or aviation fuel and aviation fuel generally has a higher octane rate.
there is a video on the net somewhere of the SR-71 blackbird leaking fuel all over its hanger and the air crew ain't bothered about it as its the vapours that ignite and cause the back, not the actual fluid.

Scotty,
did you have any luck with it, I was the one talking to you on facebook.

i have dropped a lit ciggie into a jerry can while syphoning some fuel and it didn't go up.
as im told its better to crash with a full tank than a empty one due to the vapor

Better to avoid it completely, given the option mate..

Brain fog
That rules me out then.

The tank will not build up pressure and explode. That why the tank has a breather hose. So as long as that is not blocked your allright. But if your that worried then open the fuel cap.

Have you had the exhausts sprayed or are have the pipes been wrapped.? Maybe you spilled oil on the crankcase or rear pipe when doing your cct's. I guess your going to have to fire her back up and see exactly where the smoking is coming from.

Good news you got it started though.

PS I terrible for smoking around fuel.

yep thats the one lloydie.
Ive done all the fuel training courses and the most dangerous stage, is when a vehicle is either empty or half full etc.
When your car/bike tank is full there are no vapours to ignite, same goes for fuel tankers.
once your below full there are vapours present, this is what will ignite, the reason you see in the films people igniting a trail of petrol is to do with the fuel flowing and the vapours being heavy than air and staying on the top of the fuel, thus giving the illusion that the petrol is burning.

What you want to watch out for is the petrol stations fitted with VPR systems, Vapour recovery systems, when the tanker empties its tanks into the forecourt the vapours are recover from the forecourts tanks and put into the tanker, theoretically higher concentration of vapours in tanker bigger bang lol
when they get it back to the processing plant they cool the vapour and recover some of the fuel.

when I did my training, they showed a vid of a petrol station in brazil, the attendant climbed on the top of the tanker that was about to refill the station and done what refered to as a dip test, basically put a stick in the top of the tanker to see how much fuel was in there, his phone went of and he answered it, vapours got ignited by the operation of the keys on the phone and that was a big bang, by all accounts they found what was left of him on the other side of the forecourt.

have a watch its a big bang!

It's a reasonable explosion not as big as I was hoping. where was the mushroom. If it was gonna be a big explosion the guy would have been blown to pieces instead of becoming a human fireball. I was expecting the whole tanker to blow taking out everything in the area.
