He replied to my message that he doesn't have any photos of it mounted on the bike.

Nice one Scott. At least we can get some decent pics of it now and see how it was done.
I wonder if it's based on a Harris tank which I believe 25L.

Re: vfr tank
Well I got it guys!
Looks in very good condition, needs spraying blue to match my bike so not bothered about little scuffs.
Kev I asked who made it and the guy didn't know as he was selling it on behalf if his dad.
You can tell its different but doesn't look at all out of place (Iv only compared it up to mine and not fitted it yet)
I took a couple of pics to show you where the extra size is compared to mine. It's mainly at the front and inside the side walls...

What do you think? Let me know if you need more pics ;-)

Re: vfr tank
from the puctires it looks like he split the std tank at the base seam and then welded in an 1.5" strip all round and refitted the standard top . then some good filling and blending.........still be interested to see what it looks like on the bike, but looks like a smart idea

Oh sod it i cant wait, it I'm going to take my tank off and put it in place tonight lol! Just need to get the kids in bed! ;-)
Re: vfr tank
Get a pic of the complete under side before you do.
Don't forget the fuel sender. It may be an early non float type on the Red tank.

It's not helping it being painted in that atrocious colour!
A good coat of Blue and you'll be right. Interesting alterations to gain the capacity, the blending of the sides looks a bit lumpy!
Be good to see it on the bike mate.

Re: vfr tank
It looks a lot bigger than my 16l tank and stands out more being the different colour?
Hope it blends in more when it sprayed up :-( :-)

What's your thoughts guys?

Re: vfr tank
Jesus it's big. You might have to make a spacer for you clocks, can you see them when sitting on the bike. It's not much different from a VFR tank except it sits more clean and tidy. The VFR tanks leave quite a big gap at the rear.
Pic of the complete bottom of the tanks please.

I reckon that looks pretty good mate. Maybe a bit of stripeing, like the Blue & Silver one thats been on here recently, just to lead the eye away from some of the more bulbous lines. It looks like a good compromise though, nicely done.
