The paint shop just rang for me to pop in to compare the spray sample he's done to compare my colour.

It is indeed the same colour as Kevs just as Carl mentioned.

I'm just waiting for my decals to arrive in the post then I can drop the tanker off at the paint shop!

He said it will still be the same price he quoted me at £70... for the 3 stage pearlescent spray!

Your right Lloydie, you'de expect it to be that cheap in Black, Red or Yellow but not in that gorgeous Blue. I can understand your shock. See you could afford to have yours done a decent shade

I had a quote for my old cbr to be painted black , £200 if I did the prep work .
£70 for 3 stage paint is good .
One question are they using fuel resistant lacquer on the tank ?

Good point about the lacquer. All you need is some wings now Scott.

Sounds like you got a very good deal there. If he only charge £70 a tank, a complete re-spray must be about £400 8O

I'm not sure if it's fuel resistant lacquer, it's something that never crossed my mind but I will deffo ask when I drop the tank off ;-)

Yeah the wings are on order, I was expecting them here today but proberly come Monday now :-( as soon as they arrive I'll drop my tank off

When Iv got it all painted up, I'm going to swap all my bits from my original (fuel cap, tap etc) then I'll get some pics put up on here!

Would anyone want first dibs on the 16l before it goes on eBay?

I've already got a spare 16L. Stick a post up in the sales and wants you never know. As it it has a good quality finish there might be someone in the process of converting to Blue.
