Mine was taken down to Benny's specks but only on the flywheel I left the magnet bowl alone .
But I'm taking my spare to get done to the max as I want a more oumph :-)
.
You do need to be in the correct gear for smoothness .

lllllllloydy if you use my dimensions dont forget to leave the 3mm lip around the top edge so you keep the timing marks.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Sounds like mine then. When you get it done, if you like it let me know what you had taken off and I'll get my original one done.

I can be a bit lazy sometimes in traffic and just leave it in 1 gear through all the speeding up and slowing down. Might have to slightly alter that now and change down sometimes. :eek2

Just make sure that when you get it turned the engineer centres it properly. Turns out the guy who did mine centred it externally - and (luckily) the mechanic who was going to fit it checked it with calipers - and found nearly 0.6mm difference in thickness. That far out of balance would've shook the motor to bits. I'll give him the next flywheel I get to turn down....
