Hello all!

Post by Erik s. »

Hello. I've finally made the cyber journey to this site. I have been a member of Superhawkforum.com for quite some time, same user name.

I ride a 2000 SH/FS with a few mods: Suzuki GSX-R600 forks, Daugherty Motorsports adjustable rear shock and equal length aluminum velocity stacks. Some other little bits and more to come.

I here to meet some more SH/FS riders and enjoy the conversations.

Welcome to the forum Erik. Sounds like you have some interesting mods on your bike. Are they A&L stacks on yours?

Thanks Kev.

I put up some of the close up pictures. It's a 2004 GSXR 600 front, with a 2001 GSXR 1000 wheel. I put the 10mm spacers in to use the rotors. They are 320mm rotors. I used superbike bars, but am fairly certain that CBR 954 clipons would work properly. I'll try fitting them up this winter.

I've got a 954 front end on mine and the stock bars don't have the clearance on the fairings. I used SV Race parts bars and have got them adjusted to a nice compromise position.

Welcome to the forum buddy, good to have some Hawk riders over here giving us some of their input. I would love to have some garage space like that. I see your into your dirt bikes as well, a nice little collection you have there.

Thanks all.

Tasum, the fuel is already more expensive than what we were used to. I visited the UK twice, and your prices per liter are ridiculous.

Cybercarl, I wish that were my garage. I did the work in a friends parents garage during the winter. He was into dirt bikes, out of it now.

I was reading some other posts, and it appears that I've been linked on this forum before, in the 125 hp thread. If all goes according to plan, I will be the owner of the Roger Ditchfield engine this fall, and transplanting it into my bike this winter.

Argh I know who you are now. Yes I have been following your thread. All very interesting stuff and I'm looking forward to hearing how the progress goes with that. Shame about the carbs though. You are going to end up with a very special storm by the end of it. One of very few. You just missed out on a Spondon frame that was up for grabs on here recently. Now that lump (engine) in that frame would have been awesome.
