Hiya

Post by Nickso »

Hello folks,

Not long passed my test and bought this off a mate of a mate. Anyone recognise it? Someone has spent a fair bit of money on it but quite a few things were never finished right...well not to my standards anyway. I'm slowly working my way through them.

A couple things have changed since these pics, non op rear indicators are gone as are the stickers on the hugger.

hello and welcome  .
looks like a very nice bike you have there .
i do like the white wheels and the joshi cans not to sure on the head light tho as the are very hard to find and dont emit a lot of light . a bulb upgrade should help tho .
have you got standard cam chain tensioner fitted ?
if so you might want to modify them (stopper mod) or manuals as the standard items tend to let go without warning resulting in engine damage .
have a good read through the workshop knowledge base sticky section as their is lots of useful hits and tips in there

Cheers folks,

I'm from Aberdeen but the bike isn't judging by the plate and what the previous owner knew about it. My mate is a VTR owner of many years so we can probably figure most of it out.....doubt there are many more on here from round our way but you never know. :)

The white wheels are a pain in the butt to clean but I can live with it. Twin headlights are sadly LHD versions so are even worse than normal....hope it scrapes through MOT next week

Been reading up on the CCT and I reckon the stopper mod is the chappy for me. Wouldn't be surprised if something has been done to this already but I'll check it soon for peace of mind as the bike is up to 37k now.

Welcome - v nice looking. I do like the white wheels, but sadly not the headlight. There is a sketchy plan for a Operation Highland Storm, or at least a border skirmish, next year, check out the Rides section :D

Agree very nice looking bike but the dual headlight conversion is a very dated look now imo,

you could get another standard headlight and one of those plastic headlight protector covers painted in solid white for day time race bike look when stuck on

I quite like the TH look but might put a standard headlight back on for winter simply because I like to see where I'm going. It will defo be getting one if it fails the MOT.

Welcome aboard Nickso  a cracking looking bike you have there 8)

Even though the wheels are difficult to keep clean, they really do look the part IMHO :D
