bands - forgotten how good
Re: bands - forgotten how good
Pure emotion wrapped up in words music and the faces of 2 people who have lived and loved.
The bloke in nine inch nails that wrote the song admits it will never be his song again

No you've taken that the wrong way...
I was talking about the change from a Durex machine...(schoolboy snigger)
Nah joshing ya's
His voice is quite amazing, I have a 3xCd collection of his Sun Records output, very early stuff & it has some cracking tunes on it.
The vid of hurt is top notch very very moving.
Apparently over the years he has put out something like a 1000 lp's which is staggering !

radiohead.
beltin band. odd looking fker but damn good tunes. very different than the usual.
got some old kraftwerk on atm, so ahead of their time with all analogue sounds.
40 years old now some of their stuff and is still amazingly intricate.
+1 on johnny tho.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I like this song, originally done by Nine inch nails, one of the first songs I learnt to play ( johnny cash style ) its about Heroine addiction/addict.BigVeeGrin wrote:I like Johnny Cash, great voice etc
This is very poignant, given it was recorded just before he died. Very moving

Into 60s 70s and 80s Rock like Zepplin, Floyd, Sabbath, Rush, Yes to name a few but have a very wide musical spectrum and like all music as long as the person / group can actually play / sing unlike some of the Crap that's being pumped out at the moment..
Question for you all....
When did a Band become a group of men / women trying to sing and dance without playing a note on a musical instrument?
to me a band is a group of people making music. Discuss...
