Decided to run a nostalgia play list when I went out for a cycle tonight, picked one old song and let genius button choose the rest:
SLF - alternative ulster
Housemartins - sheep
BoomTown Rats- like clockwork
Stranglers - strange little girl
Ruts - Babylons burning
Magazine
Ramones

Must have been a few more as I was out for 40 mins and every song from that era is only 3mins long, but it helped be knock 2mins off the time I did the night before :D

Apparently he rides a blue Hawk, which would explain while he's been on the missing list, I'm sure if you wait a while, well quite a long while he be along sometime...

Autosol. seeing your location in Edinburgh, that is where I was when I saw most of these bands great punk bands [including the 2 you just mentioned]. Was it the playhouse and the odeon, i think it was but it was a fecking long time ago..........the joys of being a student :D

I didnt even put SLF, Undertones, Buzzcocks, Damned on my list because I haven't forgotten how good they are as I still go and see them play every year :) next one SLF wolverhampton 11th Nov

Cant disagree with any of that AMCQ 46 , the list could go on & on Pistols , Clash ,PIl saw on more than one occasion , sure I used to see the afore mentioned "Wattie" in the old shed at Tynie on a Saturday afternoon and the SLF tour bus must be starting in the south and heading north going to see them on 19th Nov at the PIcture House again :cool2

Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best guitarist in the world. I remember when he died in the helicopter crash alongside one of Eric Clapton's band members.

I'm having a bit of a Bob Fest at the moment. Having to re-rip all my CD's to MP3 and Mr Dylan has made a triumphant return to the CD player.

And relating his songs to us Storm riders it's uncanny how much his toons and words resonate among us. I mean there's Kev all Tangled up in Blue, BSM and his Ballad of a Thin Man in his Boots of Spanish Leather, us black owners with our Wheels on Fire, the red lot chanting I Shall be Released, not forgetting silver owners thinking Tell Me That it Isn't True when they gaze upon their steed, the perennial colour envy of our yellow brethren thinking I Want You whenever they cop an eyeful of another coloured Storm. We have I Need a Woman for poor Lloydie, but for us all when we mount our chargers and set forth upon the kings highway, all other bikers know they have to Shelter from the Storm.

Recently picked up a deck so am going through me vinyl*after a few years of not playing any of it.

Currently foot tappin to Cream, Crossroads live in fact.

* For all you youngsters out there, vinyl is pre CD & far better sound quality none of this digital shite.
For all the older ones, vinyl is the the stuff after acetate 78's.
