to those that have done it how difficult is it to change the springs and seals and re oil your self?

are any specialist tool required?

Only tool your need is a thing to preload the damper while you un do the top bit

Sorry i don't know what it's call but i got one for doing usd forks with

I re- oil myself with Johnson's Baby Oil after every bath :D

I did it easily with no special tools, a slide hammer would have been wombles useful but I managed without, I didn't need anything to undo the damper bolt, it just undid perfectly fine.
